MS William Wordsworth is a classic river ship, thoughtfully designed for comfort, space and ease.

From the moment you step into the bright, welcoming lobby, there’s a sense of calm refinement: polished marble, warm wood tones, gleaming brass and plenty of natural light create an elegant but relaxed atmosphere.

The public areas are easy to enjoy, whether you’re settling into the lounge with a drink, taking in the views from the Sun Deck, or enjoying dinner in the restaurant, where attentive service and beautifully prepared cuisine are all part of the experience.

Cabins are well-equipped too, with thoughtful touches designed to make life on board feel relaxed and comfortable.

Carrying just 167 guests, with 44 in-house trained crew, MS William Wordsworth has the space and service levels that make guests feel welcome and well cared for. A small number of bicycles are also available on board for guests wishing to explore independently; please enquire at reception for details.

As evening falls, settle in for a carefully crafted four-course à la carte dinner, featuring familiar dishes and soon-to-be favourites inspired by the destinations you visit.

Deck Plan

Outdoor pool and mini golf turf on the Sun Deck of the William Wordsworth ship

The Sun Deck

Head up to the Sun Deck and settle into the gentle rhythm of life on board. Watch the scenery drift by from a comfortable lounger, find some shade when the sun is a little too enthusiastic, or cool off in the splash pool. There’s also a putting green, should you fancy a challenge between views.

At the fore of the ship, the terrace area is a lovely spot for a refreshingly long drink and that book you’ve been meaning to read. Set just in front of the wheelhouse, it’s also a wonderful place to watch the Captain and crew navigate the river, with panoramic views from a rather privileged vantage point.

Please note: the Sun Deck is only accessible by stairs.

Diamond (Upper) Deck

On the Diamond Deck, you’ll find one of the ship’s most inviting spaces: the panoramic observation lounge and bar. With comfortable leather armchairs, soft fabric sofas, colourful cushions and wide river views, it’s a lovely place to relax with a freshly made cup of tea, a favourite cocktail or simply a quiet half-hour watching the world drift by.

After a superb dinner in the ship’s main restaurant, perhaps it’s time for a digestif accompanied by the soothing tones of the ship’s pianist. Nothing too hurried, nothing too formal — just a relaxed way to round off the day.

Also on the Diamond Deck is the Riverview Kitchen, a more intimate dining space with large panoramic windows and a wonderfully sociable feel. In the evenings, the chef prepares a selection of locally inspired dishes in the open kitchen, which you can enjoy with fellow guests. This experience can be reserved on board at no extra charge. When the weather allows, the windows open fully onto the terrace, bringing a little fresh air and riverside atmosphere to dinner.

Ruby (Middle) Deck

The ship’s main restaurant is located on the Ruby Deck, offering a relaxed and comfortable setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here, thoughtfully prepared dishes are served with attentive yet discreet service from the ship’s professional crew.

Enjoy a glass of wine from the carefully chosen list and take in the timeless elegance of your surroundings. Tables are arranged for four or six guests, with crisp linen, warm wood panelling and a welcoming atmosphere that makes every meal so easy to savour.
